WATER LEVELS FORECAST – JUNE 2023 Great Lakes precipitation was 50% below average for May and below average for all Great Lakes. Lake Superior had the lowest rain since 1976. Water supplies were near average for Lake Superior; below average for Michigan-Huron. Connecting channel outflows continue above average. All the lakes rose during May; 7 inches for Lake Superior, 5 inches for L. Michigan-Huron. Forecast: Superior and Michigan-Huron will keep rising in June and July.
