TNN applauds the Septic Question Report as an excellent starting pointe. Here are the highlights of TNN public comment. The Report has costly implications for home-owners in our water-rich townships AND:1. Looked only for potentially leaking septic tanks - no mention of trucks to all pumped waste to a sewage treatment plant - or an end to local land disposal of human waste. 2. DEQ data proves land disposed human waste ran-off near Bay-front homes. 3. overstates septic system failure rates at 5.5% (Milton data is 0.67%).4. Refers to 'septic systems' only as on-site tank and field not the whole process. 5. Does not reach homeowners to maintain septic systems up to 50 years trouble-free.Continuous improvement - Tree root control (bright blue Copper Sulfate) & enzyme packets, flushed monthly, enable fewer pump-outs, extend life of septic tank and field, cut home-owner cost, and cuts land disposal run-off. Frequent pumping kills enzymes. find & fix or Inspection cannot improve the septic waste treatment quality system. Read more 2016 Autumn TNN News
