Preserving beaches and bluffs starts with wind direction. This ’wind rose’ (think of compass rose) is for Grand Traverse Light at the tip of Leelanau County, north of Northport. Prevailing SWW winds occurred 5.5% of the time; nearly one-half of wind was 15 to 20+ mph for the period December 2007 to April 2020. Read More 2020 TNN Spring News
