LAKE MICHIGAN WATER LEVEL DROPS 8 INCHES FROM LAST SUMMER. The Bay remains 12 inches higher than a year ago, 18 inches above average. The trend is up because of the wettest year on record (NOAA estimate) and Lake Superior outflows.
