ER HARBOR FISHERY HABITAT RESTORATION - the Elk Rapids Harbor Commission discussed potential fishery habitat restoration inside the harbor. The project adds gravel in the Elk River channel to improve fish spawning. MDNR supports the project to improve populations of a variety of fish. MDNR will be project leader to assist with grant funding & state/federal permitting. The Harbor Commission is excited to partner with the Department to improve fisheries habitat.
