DUNES AND FOREDUNES PRIMER There are fore-dunes, ‘critical’ dunes, dune like residential settings and inland dunes. The latter repeat, starting as a fore-dune decades ago but are now stabilized by large trees aged 50 to 150 years. Beach Erosion is caused mainly by higher trending water levels.
