It’s about infrastructure! High/Low water damage alongshore is common. So is down-state flooding from collapsed dams, storm/sewage drain overflows, and pumping failures. The common thread: no maintenance, outdated public drains, restore natural range of water level. Friends of TNN were forced to strengthen bluff/beach along-shore and overcome downstate floods. Breakwater just off-shore brought-in two feet of sand inland just off the Antrim coast. DIY is the first line of defense.
