The community is the Antrim County coastal region between East Grand Traverse Bay and Elk River-Chain of Lakes from Elk Rapids to Norwood – aka ‘Antrim Island.’ TNN serves this community. TNN promotes long-term cooperation among members and cements our mutual commitment to each other and to our shared lifestyle and environment. Seventeen years ago, some neighbors got together to protect the interests of resident property owners along East Grand Traverse Bay in Antrim County, Michigan. Township Neighbors Network (TNN) was incorporated in 2006 as a non-profit association to serve four townships: Elk Rapids, Milton, Torch Lake, and Banks.
Restore direct water quality learning, devise solutions, and implement them in the waters, beaches, and wetlands of East Grand Traverse Bay.
Water quality fieldwork and in-person contact stopped with the pandemic. Even as 157 years of manmade water level extremes continued to destroy wetlands, food chains, and shorelines. Rivers were reversed, connecting channels hardened, waters silted up, beaches eroded, fishing diminished, and native aquatic species disappeared. Invasive species decimated the food chain.
With the help of your donations, TNN can provide the tipping point to restart direct water quality learning, solutions, and actions
